Company Background
We are a privately owned business established in 1975 by our Executive Chairman Stanley Bernard.
We have become a leading player in the selling and marketing of food products
and are a major supplier of both "own
label" and branded goods to major retailers and food service distributors
in the UK and Overseas. Our export successes are recognised by the Queen's
Award for Export Achievement and 'Food from Britain' Scottish Food Exporter
of the Year.
Our Head Office and Technical Centre is located in Glasgow. It operates
two divisions covering seafood
and grocery products. We have
manufacturing facilities in Scotland but also produce extensively abroad,
particularly in Europe, India and South East Asia.
The Company also provides a Sales, Marketing, Promotional and Compliance
service for major Brands in the Retail, Cash & Carry and Wholesale sectors
in Scotland and Nationally.
We pride ourselves on our high level of technical expertise and innovative new product development.
We are proud to advise that we have gained Marine Stewardship Council accreditation at our two BRC Grade A accredited factories in Fort William and Newton Stewart and also for our Technical Centre in Glasgow.
The MSC's Fishery Certification rewards sustainable fishing and fits well with our environmental programme and commitment to our Customers.
Our two Scottish factories are:
SCO-FRO (Lochaber)
Based in Fort William this factory processes whole scampi (nephrops norvegicus) better known as Langoustine for export and domestic markets.
Galloway Seafoods
Based in Newton Stewart this factory produces breaded scampi and other high quality breaded seafood products for the domestic market.
A £4 million expansion project will be completed in summer 2010, which will substantially increase production capacity and product range.

Europe
We have a close working arrangement with one of Italy's top pasta manufacturers who produce finest 'own label' pastas. In addition, we import tomato-based products, including tinned tomatoes and tomato paste, from some of the best factories in southern Italy.
Asia
We have joint venture arrangements with some of the most modern factories in Asia - including China, India, Thailand and Malaysia which produce a range of instant noodles, authentic sauces , surimi, salmon and ethnic snacks including naan breads. All factories operate to higher BRC standards.
Product Development
We are proud of our Technical Department which plays a key part in servicing the needs of our customers. It also encompasses supervision of quality control, supplier due diligence and new product development.
